Tues 3rd Oct: New dogs needing homes or fosters

I'm sure I remember October being the month when we could all start to enjoy some cooler weather with less humidity, but that certainly hasn't happened yet.  In fact I've been struggling with a dying-now-dead air conditioner in my bedroom and have been putting off replacing it, but I can't wait any longer.  It's not just me but also the dogs who are sweating at night, so that's top of my list of things to do.  If anyone has any spare air conditioners that they don't need, we always need new ones because the dogs' hair means nothing lasts for very long.   If anyone can sponsor a new air conditioner that would be wonderful too.

The male Malinois is 6 years old

We've been asked to take some new dogs from AFCD, and if at all possible it would be perfect to have homes waiting, or at least potentially.  There's a mix of ages and size, and while we've said yes to some of them other will have to wait until we can find somewhere for them to go.  These are two Malinois, also known as Belgian shepherds, and this is a breed of super-high intelligence and stamina.  These two seem to have been kept outside because they were both infected with heartworm, however AFCD have already treated them.  The female is already a senior so she's really looking for a retirement home, while the male is younger, and both are very good natured apparently.
The female Malinois is 10 years

The female mini bulldog is 4 years old

There's a "mini bulldog" (as described by AFCD) who looks a bit like a small boxer, and certainly not the overbred and inbred specimens that have so many health issues.

The inevitable puppies look really lovely, and there's also a "yellow" dog who's a year old.

These are both girls

This boy is a year old

Finally we've also been asked to take an eight month-old rottweiler (with a lovely full tail) who's apparently currently being kept in a cage with another dog and a cat!  So I think it's fair to say that the rottie is good with cats as well as other dogs, and I'm told he's very friendly.

If you're interested in adopting any of these dogs, or can offer a foster home, please complete the adoption questionnaire at www.hongkongdogrescue.com/adopt/adoption-questionnaire/, or www.hongkongdogrescue.com/volunteer/fostering/.
