Sweet and friendly Border Collie boy |
When I say it was a quiet day, I'm talking in terms of adoptions as there's never really a quiet day when you consider the number of dogs we have to take care of. There will be even more after the new dogs arrive, and from what I've been told there are ten smaller ones, or nine if you count the border collie as a medium-to-large. Incidentally the border collie is a three year-old boy in case you like the breed, and we'll be looking for a home that can provide the exercise and mental stimulation that's so important for a super-smart type of dog.
For various reasons, including that it will make it much easier for visitors and potential adopters, we're organising a big switch of dogs at Kennedy Town. That means the dogs now staying at 13-19 North Street will move to Shop 4, Brilliant Court, Sai Hong Lane, 28 Praya Kennedy Town, and the older puppies/doglets at Brilliant Court will obviously now be at North Street. That's taking place as I write, meaning the move will be completed on Sunday morning. If you're coming to meet any of the smaller dogs, please check with us first if at all possible. The two locations aren't too far from each other so it's not a disaster if you go to the wrong one, but I'm sure you'd prefer not to.
Thanks to the volunteers who helped at the warehouse |
With Peak to Fong coming up next month, we recruited a great and hard-working group of volunteers to clear space in the warehouse for the arrival of the T-shirts so we can start selling the "hard copies". Pre-orders started last week, so once the stock arrives and has been sorted, you'll be able to buy directly from our Homing Centres, 22 Elgin Street, and Whiskers N Paws, the event sponsor. Once again, remember the T-shirt is the ticket to the event, so you'll need to wear yours on the day (Sunday 26th November).
