Thurs 26th Oct: Olive lost and found

Olive is found, now let's find her a home 

 Today was dominated by the search for terrier girl Olive after she slipped out of her harness and ran away while being transported to Acorn in Sai Ying Pun.   Staff and volunteers at all Hong Kong Centres went looking for her, but defying all odds and usual behaviour for a runaway dog, Olive ended up being found a long way away in Repulse Bay.  

Dogs don't normally run that far from the place where they got lost, but there are always exceptions and some of you may remember the story of Aladdin.  He ran from Hong Kong all the way to Shatin via the cross harbour tunnel, and was missing for weeks before finally being spotted and then caught. 

We're so grateful for all of the help with Olive, especially for the finder and the person who kept her overnight.   One thing's for sure, these terriers are such smart little dogs, and maybe this exposure will help find Olive a home. 

Lovely Nancy 

While Olive was on the run we took in another lovely smaller dog from AFCD, this time the mini bulldog I've mentioned a couple of time before.  Now-Nancy looks much more like a bulldog then the photo we were sent by AFCD, and she's really very sweet (and small).  Hopefully someone will see her new photo and will rush to adopt her. 

We also took in a pair of older puppy girls from AFCD, and they're now at our Tai Po Homing Centre.  I'm just waiting for photos and names, but the Acorn vet reported that they were very sweet (and healthy).
