Mon 9th Oct: Usko, Unity and puppy fosters needed

Usko gets a daily head scratch from everyone

 It might have been a chaotic day for many, and certainly for our Homing Centres as we were so short of staff and volunteers, but there was still very happy news from Whiskers N Paws as our beautiful big boy Usko was adopted!  I've written about him so many times because of his soft nature and gentle personality, but in the end it was the Whiskers N Paws family who chose to keep him for themselves.  By this I mean owner Vada and her family, which means Usko will be spending time at the store as office assistant, meeter and greeter, and general ambassador for all good dogs everywhere.  

That leaves only Unity from this litter still waiting for her forever family, and she had her own promotion on Instagram @thevisuallabo.  Just as a reminder, the "U" puppies came to us as newborns, and Unity has been with her foster family since then, with regular Sunday appearances at Whiskers N Paws.  She can be a bit shy with strangers, which is understandable, but she's so sweet and gentle at home and especially with the young children in the family.

I'm sure Usko will still be acting as big uncle to the current pair of resident puppies at Whiskers N Paws, Arlene and Axis, just as he has done with all of the previous puppies.

Another pair from this litter are April and Artie (see the video), and they were taken for fostering when they arrived.  However, due to an emergency trip that has just come up, we will need to find a new foster situation for the pair, and immediately.  If you can step in to help, please complete the foster questionnaire at www.hongkongdogrescue.com/volunteer/fostering/, or if you are already a registered foster please email Cindy at foster@hongkongdogrescue.com.
