Sandro is on the left, with Arlene and Axis |
There were two sets of arrivals today, with the three puppies who were the last of their litter of nine immediately leaving for their foster homes. We had to take the nine as and when we could find foster homes for them, with the first pair going to Lyndsay at Instagram@why_i_foster, and you can see from her daily posts how quickly Bruno and Sandro have developed. Another pair moved into Whiskers N Paws as full time residents until they find their forever homes, and you can see them (and Sandro) in the set of photos taken by Laura Nie at today's Puppy Party Puppy Adoption Day 15th Oct 2023.
Names are coming |
The other arrivals were the group of nine, a mixed bunch of smaller sized adults plus one Border Collie boy. They'll be taken to AFCD on Monday to be licensed before their routine vet checks, or perhaps not so routine for the cocker spaniel boy who will need to have one eye removed.
Goodbye Pixie! |
Happily there were some adoptions to write about, with Pixie leaving from our Tai Po Homing Centre. I've been waiting for this sweet doglet to be chosen, and now that she has finally found her family, I can close the file on this particular "P" litter.
Elsie will also be leaving very soon as she has a new home in Canada, and we have a flight volunteer who can take her on the first of November. Thank you to everyone else who offered to accompany Elsie on this big adventure.
Sweet Adam is a Foster Fail |
I'd almost forgotten about Adam, a puppy who came to us with a limp due to a previous break in his leg. He went to a foster home and has now become a Forever dog.
Just as a reminder in case you missed seeing the notice, we switched a lot of dogs from our North Street Centre to Shop 4 Brilliant Court, Sai Hong Lane, 28 Praya Kennedy Town. Here are some of those that made the move today, but the chart is already a little bit out of date as one of the shiba inu brothers was adopted today :
