Thurs 12th Oct: A quick round-up

Jules

I've been working from home all week thanks to having a cold, but there's always plenty to do to keep me busy, like writing this blog for example.   However it seems I made a mistake yesterday when I said that Bunty the poodle was a "foster fail" because she was adopted by another family, and the foster has now taken in a new dog, Jules the corgi.  Of course he's also available for adoption if there are corgi fans out there (which I know there are), but I should mention that he's almost a senior at ten years of age.

The young corgi we have is Boomer, aka Bubu, who's gone from being very scared on arrival, to leader of the gang at his house on Lamma.  In fact he took his revenge on shiba inu Damson (aka Dau Dau) after she was so mean to him at first, and she became so intimated that she had to be moved to the Small Dogs' House.  I felt a bit sorry for her but she's doing well now, and hopefully she'll be less bossy in future.  Her problem is guarding, mostly food but items too, and it's a great shame because she's otherwise a very sweet dog.    If you're interested in adopting a shiba inu, we have three young and friendly ones at Kennedy Town, so as always please start by completing the adoption questionnaire at www.hongkongdogrescue.com/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire/ if you're interested in meeting them.

These boys are 11 months old

Two lucky baby boys

The two newborns, both boys, who were thrown into the hills to die and thankfully found by the regular rescuer who has saved so many "Rain Babies" in the past, are doing well in their foster home.  They were very weak when found, and two others had sadly already died, but now they're drinking their milk every four hours and will hopefully be fine.   Thank you to everyone who offered to help with these two foundlings, and it may even mean we can take the last three puppies from the litter of nine who are with the same rescuer.

Just a reminder that Peak to Fong is next month and the T-shirts which are the entrance tickets are already on sale.
The T-shirt is the ticket which needs to be worn on the day
