Thurs 14th Oct: Another day off for some

I discovered halfway through the morning that today was a Public Holiday, but since every day is the same for me and the Homing Centres, meaning we work regardless, I had no idea.  Anyway the extra day off for regular working people means that almost the entire week has disappeared with very little to show for it in terms of adoptions, but still we're getting such lovely messages from the Typhoon Fosters describing their short-term guests.  They dogs have been amazing, especially those who have been with us since they were almost newborns, or at least very young puppies, so their memory of a real home goes back to their very early days as a foster puppy.

"I’m having a great time fostering Teddy ! He’s is so sweet and he’s has been doing really well these past 3 days at my home 🥰"

I'd like to share the Typhoon Fosters' individual stories but there are so many that this post would go on forever, but what I can do is to ask that if you're think about adoption and want an idea of what the dogs are like in a home situation, please complete the adoption questionnaire and we can tell you about the particular dogs that would be the best match.

I'd like to assume that all readers of my blog know the adoption questionnaire link by now: www.hongkongdogrescue.com/adopt/adoption-questionnaire, but we're still asked every day if we open at weekends, Sundays, Public Holidays, typhoons and so on, and the answer is always yes. Yes, we open every single day of the year with no exceptions.

Thankfully we can be at Whiskers N Paws as usual this Sunday, 2pm to 4pm, and you can meet all the available puppies in one place.

My two top choices this week are Cricket (shown in the photo) and Lula, the last of the three sisters who have been staying as full time Whiskers N Paws guests, with Lizzie and Lyra having been adopted last Sunday.

Cricket is a very energetic 5 month-old puppy who loves to run around and play with toys. She would make a great exercise companion for an active family. Although she has a short coat she has adorable fuzzy hair behind her ears giving her a unique look! She's not going to be large as an adult, in fact defonitely no more than medium sized.
Cricket is currently staying at our Ap Lei Chau Homing Centre. We open every single day from 10am to 6pm.
