Sat 2nd Oct: Adding a small tribute to the monthly list

Puppy Sprinkle heading home

We have two new names to start the October adoptions, and they're pom (cross) Sonic and puppy Sprinkle, so congratulations to both sets of adopters as well as these two lucky dogs.  Hopefully there will be more after the weekend of course, with the Whiskers N Paws Puppy Party taking place on Sunday as always, 2pm to 4pm, and finally a hint of autumn weather to cool things down a bit for fun on the terrace.  The adopter of puppy Hugo also pointed out he hadn't been included on the September list of dogs homed, so we can add another name to the tally.
Sonic has his new family

It also occurred to me that with so many of our "forever" dogs  quietly passing away without a mention, that their names should also be included in the monthly roll call of dogs that have left us as a small acknowledgment of their lives.  I did mention poodle Kobe, but there are others who die every month, many from old age but also the young ones and puppies, and I often think that they deserve this tiny tribute to the fact that they existed and were loved.  It's the inevitable result of HKDR being a No Kill Organisation. meaning when we take in a dog or puppy we promise a home for life, however long that might be.

Puppy Hugo was adopted on the 22nd

Little Cricket will be there again this Sunday
