I'll start by sharing the headshots of the newly arrived dogs again, but this time with names included. Some have already been adopted, and others who were first thought to be puppies but ended up just being very small adults, are also not shown, although there were only four of them anyway. You can't tell from just seeing their faces how large or small the dogs are, but for the most part they're tiny, small or medium sized, and there's definitely a family theme with the very cute underbite in many of them. Everyone is asking where the dogs came from and if they're from a breeder (unlikely, as they all mixed breeds apart from the Frenchie), and the simple answer is we have absolutely no idea. We can say for sure that some of the female dogs have had puppies, and as mentioned there are definitely family groups, especially with the "R" intake that came last Friday, but I can't imagine there's any money to be made from selling these dogs, however lovely we think they are.
This group are now the "T" dogs, and here's a video of tiny Taryn, one of those first assumed to be a puppy until her teeth said otherwise. I think she's completely adorable with her funny little underbite.
Riva going home |
All of the schnauzer-poodle-terrier family from the "R" intake have now been adopted as the last of them, Riva, was adopted today.
Tisha was a popular girl |
The "T" adoptions started with Tisha, a very popular puppy based on the number of enquiries I had about her, followed by Tatum, then Talia (photo to follow).

Odin is having a great time in his new home |
Just because we have so many new dogs arriving, it doesn't mean we have lost interest in others and especially the puppies. Gorgeous Odin was chosen today, and he's already settled in nicely with the resident dog in the home. It's always so much easier for any puppy to adapt when there's a built-in friend willing to play.
Tizzy covered herself up |
I also wanted to share this photo I took of the newly-arrived Frenchie, Tizzy. She's being kept separated because she has really bad skin on her back legs, and she made us all laugh because she used her blanket to cover herself, not just once but repeatedly. She came out from underneath to check on what was going on if there was any activity, then pulled the blanket back over her once it was over.
Ryand with Terry |
Over at Tai Po, senior dog Ryan was chosen by volunteer and adopter of many lucky older dogs, Terry. I've lost count of how many dogs have moved from Tai Po to Terry's retirement home, and when one of them reaches the end of their lives, as they do of course, then it makes space for another. Thank you Terry!
What a wonderful man, Terry is adopting the older dogs. I love Ryand's happy expression. Love Tatum also, and the other Schnauzer mixes. They look great!
