Thurs 9th Sept: Sorting out the new arrivals

Arthus is the last of his litter

While puppy Arthur was packing up his things to leave the Ap Lei Chau Homing Centre for his new life and home, two other foster puppies were also quietly being adopted.  Minky is staying with her foster parent (who joins the exclusive Failed Foster Club), while Meg moved from foster to a new home.

Earlier in the day it was all about arrivals, with the new puppies who had to be separated from their mother all now safely in foster care (thank you), and an ex-breeder schnauzer hopefully with a home to go to after her vet check.

The 1 month-old puppies are now in foster care

The two year-old Maltese, now called Milky, also arrived, and while she's a very sweet little girl she has the typical skin problem of a white dog, and that's a lifelong condition that needs to be controlled rather than cured.

Milky is very sweet and only 2 years old

Charlotte is the mother of the 4 puppies

The larger adults, mother dog included, were all sent to Tai Po, with the team reporting that beautiful Dolly is especially sweet and lovely.  I hope she's going to be going to a new home before too long.

Beautiful young Dolly

The five tiny pups are now the K-Pup Litter, and they're really very cute and small-sized, but as I mentioned yesterday they're not ready for adoption yet.  At least one of them has suspected tick fever so they'll all be going to have a full vet check to be safe.  The only one who seems to be OK at the moment is a super-cute and totally adorable terrier type, Kindle, and if I could take him home he'd be mine for sure!
