Sun 5th Sept: Three legs is better than none

Three sisters having fun

As always there are many great photos from the Whiskers N Paws  puppy party which took place today, and every Sunday from 2pm to 4pm.  Jimmy Tsang was our volunteer photographer and here's the album for you to check out Puppy Adoption Day 05th Sep 2021, unfortunately without any adoptions to record but instead a very welcome donation from the Wanchai Junior Youths who raised money for HKDR by selling home-made cookies.

Over at our own Ap Lei Chau Homing Centre it was a happy day for yet another of the recent arrivals, this time poodle Ethan.  There are now just two little dogs left from that group of nine, one of which (Erin) needs to see Dr Tony Matthews at Acorn for leg surgery and possible amputation.

Erin's back leg is badly deformed

At least when you have four legs losing one still leaves three to run around on, and it didn't prevent Joshua from being formally adopted today.  In fact he was chosen by our long-term volunteer Harryn, so I'm especially happy to share the photo.

Barely a day goes by when we aren't taking in more dogs or puppies that need help, and today it was three puppies whose story you can read on http://www.hkanimalpost.com/2021/09/05/09051-3/
The puppies are scared and not ready for adoption yet, so hopefully they'll settle soon.
