Sun 12th Sept: Another happy ending

Luke and Beryl are two lucky puppies

There was very happy news from one of our regular foster homes which you might have seen if you follow @why_i_foster on Instagram.  Black pup Beryl had already been chosen for adoption but had to wait for her new family to come out of quarantine, and in the meantime she'd been joined by little boy Luke and inevitably an instant attachment was formed.  Now the pair will stay together for life, a wonderful ending to this foster story.

Lucy and her new daddy

Eric Tang was our photography volunteer at Whiskers N Paws, and as always the results are wonderful  Puppy Adoption Day 12th Sep 2021 even if there was only one actual adoption to record.  That was Lucy, and while she leaves Petey behind  as the sole resident at the store, he also has a potential adopter so we'll have to see if that goes ahead.

Ruthie is a small and compact size

While Ruthie is still waiting for a home to call her own, her lucky sister Raisin-now-Cylvie was also at Whiskers N Paws today but for a different reason.  She's started the Positive Partners training course along with her family, and although a little bit nervous (it being first day at school) she did well.

Raisin-now-Cylvie started school today

If you're looking for a very sweet puppy who won't grow into a large sized adult, please take a look at Ruthie.  I think it's time she had the same opportunity as her sister.

After a busy day at Whiskers N Paws the puppies are always tired happy to settle down back at the Homing Centre.  Iris took these photos at the end of the afternoon, and I think it's a perfect way of showing how important companionship is to a puppy.  So many potential adopters feel they can't handle two puppies at the same time but it's really half the work, not double.  With a pair you have a built-in friend, playmate and cuddle buddy, relieving you of the need to constantly entertain a single puppy.
