Mon 3rd Sept: There are no words

This is a rottie puppy taken today
If ever there was a day that proved how ineffectual the laws relating to animal cruelty and breeders are, today was it.  I'm just thankful it wasn't me personally who had to witness the misery and suffering, and I need to say a big thank you to the staff and volunteers who brought the dogs back to the safety of our Homing Centres at Tai Po and Ap Lei Chau.  This is a list of those staying at Tai Po so far, with a beagle and two chow chows having been sent to Ap Lei Chau with more arriving on Tuesday, and whatever it takes to fit them in we will manage somehow.

If you are able to foster please let Cindy know at foster@hongkongdogrescue.com, and for adoptions complete the Adoption Questionnaire on our website www.hongkongdogrescue.com (under Adopt).  All the dogs will have health checks of course, but please understand that for those with skin problems for example, we can't hold them until they are better so it will be a matter of whoever can take them home first, as long as they are suitable homes of course.

I have the additional task of coming up with names for all of the new dogs so I'm going to have to do some quick thinking.  So far I have named the three golden retrievers Samba, Rumba and Zumba, with the rottweiler puppy now Dilbert.  Details of all dogs and their names, plus the new ones coming on Tuesday, will be posted as they are checked and properly licensed.
