Sun 11 Feb: What a weekend!

Having been in a foster home was a huge help for Elke
We had an incredible weekend and an especially busy Sunday with three events taking place at the same time. Of course there was Whiskers N Paws, and a few happy adoptions as well as a lovely Two Presents birthday donation from regulars Maya and Anya.  Eric Tang is a regular volunteer photographer and he was back again with this lovely set Hong Kong Dog Rescue (HKDR) added 149 new photos to the album Puppy Adoption Day 11 February 2018 — at Whiskers N Paws

Older puppy Elke was one of the lucky puppies today, and doubly-lucky Crumpet who was one of those saved from being part of  a Chinese New Year dinner.  Ted also came to have his adoption photo taken, with the new name of Jasper, while Inky will be moving from her current foster into her forever home later in the week.

Some other puppies moved from foster homes into trial adoptions, such as Figgy and Herbert, and Waldo also went to a new foster home with an ex-HKDR dog to take care of him.

We can follow Anya and Maya's growth by posting their annual Two Presents donations

In the same week Crumpet went from being a meat puppy to being adopted

The Pet Expo came to a  close after a hectic and successful three days, while the weather was perfect for Sunday's outdoor Freespace Happening in Kowloon.

We haven't finished with the Year of the Dog events by any means, and you can buy your Lucky Knots and bracelets at the vending machine at Lee Tung Avenue (Octopus cards only) up until the 28th February and between 10am and 10pm daily.
Look out for the vending machine selling the HKDR knots and bracelets

HKDR will also be having a Charity Sale at Lee Tung Avenue on 23th & 25th February, plus a Chinese New Year Charity Walk on 25 February (Sunday) to raise some much-needed funds for the dogs in need! Please stay tuned for further details.
