You can't miss our double stand at the Pet Expo |
It's going to be a really busy weekend with the Freespace Happening also taking place on Sunday at the West Kowloon Cultural District, and there will be more photo opportunities with professional photographer Mary Dimitropoulou.
Spot the real dogs at the photo booth |
I was planning on going to the Pet Expo myself, but in the end spent the afternoon at Acorn (as usual) with the new poodles and puppies, and I'm delighted to report that there's no heartworm in any of them this time. Hopefully with that being the case and only desexing still left to be done, they will be adopted quickly as they're all very sweet girls. I even gave them all names before the day had finished, so they are now Franny, Fleur, Aria, Larkin and Teegan, but Andrea will have to assign the names to specific poodles.
I don't know which is which yet |
We also picked up the shih tzu, now called Womble, and black puppy girl Willa from AFCD in Shatin, and we may even have a home for Womble with one of our volunteers who met him when he arrived at the Homing Centre.
Lucky Womble may already have a home |
I heard that the Chinese New Year red packets are sold out at both of our Homing Centres but there is still stock at Topshop in Queen's Road, Central, but you had better hurry if you want to buy.
Continuing with the Year of the Dog theme, this TV commercial by Phoenix TV stars ex-HKDR dogs poodle Dor Dor and lovely mixed breed Nam Nam, with Timmy and Mick making their appearance at the end.
Womble has a very cute face! Lucky boy!
