Fri 16th Feb: Year of the Dog

Lara says Kung Hei Fat Choy!
Someone controlling the weather pulled out all the stops to ensure a gloriously sunny day to mark the start of the Year of the Dog, sadly short-lived but good while it lasted.

One puppy was picked up from our Ap Lei Chau Homing Centre for fostering, and that lucky girl was Willa, the newish arrival from AFCD . Now I just have the remaining "meat puppies" on Lamma, the ones that were rescued from the poodle breeder who was planning to eat them for the New Year celebration, and while they were quite nervous when I first brought them home they are now a very happy and friendly bunch.  It worries me that they won't get a chance to meet any potential adopters before Sunday 25th as Whiskers N Paws is closed for Chinese New Year, so if anyone can foster a puppy please let me know by emailing foster@hongkongdogrescue.com

The meat puppies do all have names: Hannah, Pixel, Sidney etc

We will be holding our first Sai Ying Pun Saturday puppy afternoon on 24th February at Heal,  10 Second Street, just along the road from Acorn Veterinary Hospital, so you can meet all of the puppies-in-foster there from 1pm to 4pm, and there will be snacks and drinks to celebrate the opening of the new venue.  Of course we will be at Whiskers N Paws as well on Sunday as there are more than enough puppies to cover both locations.
The pool won't be in place for our first puppy afternoon at Heal, but it's coming
