Thurs 7th Dec: Our Kennedy Town dogs and puppies

There's always interest in any new dogs that arrive, but after a short time the interest fades as everyone waits for the next group to come in while the previous "new" dogs blend in with the others.  So just as a reminder I want to share the photos of the dogs and puppies staying at our Kennedy Town Centres, and these include four puppies who will either be small or small-medium as adults.  The fourth member of the "R" litter, Rennie, has already moved to her new forever home, and is very happy to have a big "brother" as a playmate and mentor.

Pickle is the shiba inu puppy who came to us from a breeder as a survivor of the distemper virus, and while he does have some muscle twitching as a result, it's not bad enough that it affects his ability to enjoy a normal life.   The other puppy that came at the same time and with the same neurological issue was Pepper, the pomeranian, and she has already been adopted.

Some of the dogs are seniors, like sweet Grace and her "husband" Glenn, a couple who need to stay together as they're very bonded.   Little Lucy and Lola are also always together, and as quite timid girls they need each other for emotional support.

Quentin is one of the ex-puppies, and I'm not sure why he's still with us as he's a great doglet with a happy and friendly nature.  It's just luck and timing I suppose.

We still have a selection of poodles, not young though, and some very sweet with a couple who are more temperamental.  Wiggy came from a home and he's one of the very sweet poodles.

Jessie and Samantha are also lovely poodle girls, though again not youngsters.  Grainger is a very funny and active boy (from the same family as Grace and Glenn), while Buster is young and adorable and should have been chosen by now.

Over at North Street we have the older and larger doglets who will gradually move to our Tai Po Centre as space there allows.  It's also where the "no-children" dogs stay, including poodles Ziggy and Justin, who are for the most part very sweet while they retain some of the fear-based behaviour.

If you are interested in meeting any of these dogs or puppies with a view to adopting, please start by completing the adoption questionnaire at www.hongkongdogrescue.com/adopt/adoption-questionnaire/.

We do have many up-and-coming puppies in foster homes, some of whom are reaching the age for adoption too.  You may remember them as the "Bucket Puppies" from when they first arrived at our Tai Po Homing Centre.  You can see some of their photos and videos on Instagram @foster_doggie_hk (Bandit and Bethany).
