Sun 17th Dec: A happy Christmas coming up for some lucky pups

Lucky Jack

There were two lucky puppies at todays' Whiskers N Paws Puppy Party Puppy Adoption Day 17th Dec 2023, and many thanks to Benjamin Po for being our volunteer photographer for the event.  We're always grateful to everyone who donates their time and skills in whichever way it's offered, and these photos help us to promote the puppies that are still waiting for homes.   The two puppies that found their forever families were siblings Jack (who started off as Birdie), and Bethany, with fellow littermate Bandit almost chosen too but in the end going back home with his foster family.
Bethany has a family Christmas coming up

Little Rufus

It's always impossible to know which puppies will be chosen, and why, and I'm happy for any of them.  Still, I did think that short-legged Rufus would be a favourite, if only because he's not going to be a large adult, and medium sized at most.  His turn will come, I'm sure of that.

Todd was lucky to be taken back by his kind foster

Other puppies present were sisters Arlene and Alice, currently staying full time at Whiskers N Paws,  doglet Todd, who had previously been adopted and then returned to his foster home, and very pretty girl Romy.  You can meet Rufus and Romy any day of the week at our Kennedy Town Homing Centre, Shop 4 Brilliant Court, Sai Hong Lane, 28 Praya Kennedy Town, but please remember to complete the adoption questionnaire in advance of any visit and wait for a reply.  It's at www.hongkongdogrescue.com/adopt/adoption-questionnaire/.

Next Sunday will be Christmas Eve, and yes we will be back at Whiskers N Paws for the two-hour afternoon party, and I'm sure the store is going to be buzzing with last-minute shoppers enjoying the festive decorations and atmosphere.  Please remember us in your gift list if you can, and ask the staff to pick out some treats for our dogs and puppies who will be spending Christmas at our Homing Centres.  There will be a discount offered for all such treats, and WNP will deliver them directly to us, so just let the staff know.

You might also be interested in a wonderful giving scheme that WNP are running (which launched at our Peak to Fong event) called The Love of Paws.

Quite simply you donate $50 a month, which goes directly to the charity of your choice (hopefully HKDR of course), and you will receive coupons worth $200 in return every month.   Check it out.....
