Today took me over to Kowloon Bay for the launch of this year's Character Day incentive, a programme aimed at schools to promote positive attitudes. I'm honoured to be invited to participate, and a bit surprised to be honest as the only non-Chinese speaker (and embarrassed to be unable to grasp Cantonese after all these years). Eva came along with me and took a few photos of the gathering, during which we were all asked to say a few words about the theme of Kindness. Of course the opportunity to spread the word and work about Hong Kong Dog Rescue is important, and we're always happy to participate and grateful to be asked, as with this Yahoo TV promotion:

Bulldog Boris was picked up today for fostering during his recovery, and perhaps adoption too depending on how he gets on with the resident bulldog. I don't suppose Boris is feeling his best, not to mention looking rather scary, but let's see.
I'm hoping to be able to share lots of adoption photos over this coming weekend, not only from the Whiskers N Paws puppy Sunday but also from our Tai Po Homing Centre where the renovation work is really taking shape now. If you want to go along to meet the dogs, we are open every single day of the year regardless of holidays and typhoons.
