Fri 13th Aug: New dogs and a busy weekend ahead

 The three new dogs were picked up from AFCD Sheung Shui, and as promised they're all lovely and just a year old.  Siblings Mavis and Travis are an almost-matched pair, while Sonic is on his own, but all can be adopted separately.  As always please complete the adoption questionnaire at www.hongkongdogrescue.com/adopt/adoption-questionnaire/ as a first step in the adoption process, whether it's for these three or any others.

Also arriving at our Ap Lei Chau Homing Centre after a night with one of the Tai Po team was the little one-eyed dog, now called Dotty.  She's a sweet girl, also young at just a year old, and I think (hope) that her lack of one eye won't affect her adoption prospects.

I'm expecting it to be a busy weekend as we've had a lot of enquiries about the new mother Candy and her litter of six puppies, so thankfully we have the luxury of being able to choose the best possible homes for this lucky family.   That doesn't mean we aren't as careful as it's possible to be about any potential home, but we're not in a rush to get these particular puppies out of the Homing Centre.

On Sunday the puppies will be at Whiskers N Paws from 2pm to 4pm, and hopefully the rain will hold off for those two hours so everyone can enjoy some playtime on the terrace.
