Weds 3rd June: 41 adoptions for May

The best thing about the adoptions for May was that so many of those were from our Tai Po Homing Centre, although bearing in mind we have hundreds of dogs still waiting, such as young Sephora and Kellogg shown in the photo, you wouldn't notice the difference in numbers. I hope the interest in our older and larger dogs continues and that June's adoption total will reflect this trend.

There was some sad news about one of our dogs in foster, as a health and heart check at Concordia Pet Care showed that Otis has heart failure.  We knew that his heart wasn't in the best shape but not that it would deteriorate quite so suddenly,  and we're more grateful than ever that he's at least in a temporary home which is also close to the vet clinic in case of emergencies.

We all got to love Otis during the time that he stayed at the office after his cruel abandonment, and while we don't know how much time he has left at least he's on the appropriate medication for his condition.

The continuing Social Distancing rules are making things somewhat difficult as far as events are concerned, but we do have plans for the upcoming months so please keep a lookout for news on those.

In the meantime as you know our Homing Centres are open every day regardless so you can visit any time to meet the dogs and puppies staying with us.
