Sun 14th June: A happy round-up for Sunday

Before talking about Sunday's adoptions I wanted to share these happy foster-to-adopted photos of poodles Penny and Minky,  recently surrendered Ginny and Plum.

Penny came from AFCD having been surrendered by her owner for being incurably ill, and while she does have some health issues she's been stable for a long time on medication, and she went to her new family despite them knowing that she needs regular vet checks.  Penny has always been such a sweet girl, full of life and so loving, and I'm incredibly happy that she found an amazing foster who took such great care of her before her new family took her home.

The day Ginny was surrendered to us was also the luckiest day of her life, except for the day she went home for a trial with the two other resident dogs.  You can see how happy she is and what a change has taken place, from a sad little dog to a born-again puppy.
Ginny is like a puppy again

Poodle Minky has also made the step up from foster dog to forever family member, and Plum, who was initially taken home with Bishi as a foster companion is now staying.

Moving on to Sunday's event at The Murray and the very lucky change of weather, new puppy Amanda was the first adoption of the afternoon, with beagle-cross Macy moving to a trial adoption basis from her foster home (there's another resident dog that needs to accept Macy).  "B" puppy Barbie also went to a new home, while Susie was adopted after going back to Ap Lei Chau at the end of The Murray event.
Susie was adopted later in the day

We had a great turnout of volunteers, for which many thanks, as well as guests and potential adopters.   I don't have photos of The Murray event yet other than a couple, but the full album will be posted on our Facebook page very soon.
