Sat 6th June: The shrinking "B" puppies

The 3 ex-TNR dogs, only medium sized
I happened to be at the Ap Lei Chau Homing Centre when the potential adopters of Kimmy were there, so we discussed the possibility of taking puppy Mandy along as emotional support for shy Kimmy, as well as giving Mandy herself a break from being bullied by the older dogs.   At that moment Mandy was snuggled on the girlfriend's lap and looking very comfortable, and as I've said before she's a very lovely puppy, sweet and affectionate, and all she needs is the right home and a chance to make up for lost learning time.  She's still young and really just a baby, so hopefully this "holiday" will be exactly what she needs.

Lucky Biggles has his own family now
Also leaving the Homing Centre was baby Biggles who has found himself a lovely family. The "B" litter are shrinking in number by the day, so we have asked all the puppies in foster homes to be returned to Ap Lei Chau so they can be seen by potential adopters.  The only one we're holding back is Ben who underwent surgery to remove the lump from his eye.  He's fine and recovering well in our volunteer Rose's home, while Basil and Betty are currently staying as full-time guests at Whiskers N Paws, 10/F Horizon Plaza, in case you want to meet them there.

Don't worry about the weather if you're planning to meet the dogs at Tai Po or Ap Lei Chau because we're open regardless of heavy rain or thunderstorms.  In fact I can't think of a better time to adopt and take a dog home to be inside, dry, safe and happy.
The swimming pool at Tai Po had to be emptied using buckets
