Tues 9th April: Our collection of medium sized doglets

I took Lucas, the "Old English Schnauzer", to AFCD for licensing after his visit to Acorn today for all the necessaries, and saw for myself what a lovely boy he is.  It's quite incredible given his story that he's so friendly and happy, and he would be perfect for anyone with allergies wanting a larger-than-poodle dog.  He's looking a lot better now after a haircut and I'm sure he feels much more comfortable too.  I'm waiting for updated photos to show what a handsome boy he is now, and will post later.

Cat is a young dog and only medium sized
Cat, mother of the "Kitten Litter" also needed to be licensed, and I realised her name probably wasn't such a good idea as it confused both the Acorn staff and AFCD.   Still, Cat it is, and as a very sweet (if shy) and small-sized young dog I hope she will find her forever family before too long.
Deenie is 8 months old and also quite small

Deenie is another recent newcomer who is also a lovely dog, and she was spayed today making sure everything is done for when she meets her new family.  That hasn't happened yet but we're hoping she's spotted before too long.

Marley is a lovely young boy
We seem to be building quite a collection of small/medium sized dogs at our Ap Lei Chau Homing Centre, with Cat, Deenie and sharpei Marley adding to longer-term residents Gumbo, a shiba inu, and our funny and lovely boy Jack who came to us as a baby pup.  Jack loves people he knows but tends to be shy with strangers, so you need to take him home and give him a day or so to see his happy and affectionate side.  Coincidentally they are all eight months old, other than Jack who is just a little bit older now.
Happy Jack
Gumbo and Jack are best friends

We're all melting over the new fluffy babies and I'm wondering who will be lucky enough to adopt.  The female, Slipper, is doing well after her blood transfusion and should be back at the Homing Centre with her brothers on Wednesday.

Stinker went for another blood test today and his condition is improving with a higher red cell count and lower white cells.  We'll have to keep and eye on him in case of any further seizures but he appears to be in good form and happy.

Volunteer Harryn took these sweet photos of the babies
