Fri 5th April: With thanks to all volunteers

A quick post this morning due to some internet or computer problems, not sure which, plus the fact that I've been up all night with my dog Griffin.  Again I don't know what the problem is but he's in pain and needs to see a vet.

Sybil and Maud leaving for their now home today
We've been having a lot of luck with the older small dogs lately, which is just as well as we need the space for all of the puppies that have been flooding in, with more to arrive on Saturday.  It's come at a bad time since Easter (holidays) are just round the corner, but I hope there are enough people who aren't going away.  Today's lucky little seniors were mother-and-daughter pair Sybil and Maud, and we hope that this time they will be staying.

Thanks to today's Ching Ming holiday quite a few Tai Po dogs were taken to Penfold Park for a lovely day out, and thank to all volunteers who gave their time to give the dogs some fun.

As I'm writing this many volunteers are already out on the streets selling "flags" for our Flag Day, and have been since seven o'clock this morning.   Once again I can't thank all of our volunteers enough for their dedication, and I hope they have the satisfaction of selling out before the morning ends.

Old beagle Stinker will be leaving Acorn and coming back to our Ap Lei Chau Homing Centre on Saturday, complete with bags of pills, and hopefully his little adventure will soon be forgotten.  Thank you to everyone who donated towards his care, and please feel free to drop by to say hello once he's back.
Stinker can leave hospital on Saturday
