Mon 8th April: Falling in love again

Five gorgeous babies
I fall in love constantly, just about every time we get a new litter of puppies coming in and I see their innocent faces with such trusting eyes, as well as their love for everyone.  The litter-plus-one that arrived on Saturday are also the most gorgeous group of fluffies and I would challenge any dog lover not to feel the same way I do. Take a look at this video: https://www.facebook.com/hkdogrescue/videos/584028245443720/.
Slipper isn't well at the moment

These puppies were found as strays so as a result arrived covered in fleas and ticks, now all dead of course, but one of the litter is sick and we assume it's tick fever.  Slipper is the only female and she had to stay in hospital today when I took them for their health checks, and as Acorn still had some donated blood that Stinker didn't use they were able to give it to Slipper.  Hopefully that will give her the boost she needs and she'll soon be back on her little furry feet.
Marley the 8 month-old sharpei boy

Other than the puppies I also met Marley the sharpei doglet for the first time today as he also arrived at the weekend.  He's staying happily with the other puppies and is quite a small dog himself, so he fits in well.

If you are interested in adopting any of our dogs or puppies please complete the Adoption Questionnaire as a first step.  https://hongkongdogrescue.com/adopt/adoption-questionnaire/

Stinker has slotted back into life at the Homing Centre and was lining up with the puppies at tea time to have some food too, but he did suffer a short seizure today so will be heading to Acorn again on Tuesday.   We don't know how much of his current health issues are due to the fact that he was lost and without food for such a long time, or if that period just happened to coincide with the natural process of getting old.  I can't help but wonder but I suppose we'll never know.
