Fri 8th March: Little Miss Popular

Annie and Penny with their new family

Black fluffy pup Annie has proved to be a very popular little girl, and several homes were offered before she left today with her now-sister Penny.  Annie has been staying at Whiskers N Paws as a full time guest, while Penny was a relative newcomer to our Kennedy Town Centre, but now they will grow up together as best friends.  A double adoption is always something we love, because it's a natural thing for dogs to have other dogs living with them, and especially puppies.

Regarding the other potential adopters for Annie, of course I really hope that they will choose another puppy as there's no shortage of candidates, with many staying at Kennedy Town and others in foster homes.  If you would like to foster any puppies, please complete the form at www.hongkongdogrescue.com/volunteer/fostering/ or if you have already registered then let Cindy know your availability by emailing foster@hongkongdogrescue.com.

We may be calling out for many more foster homes in the coming days and weeks, because there has been serious disappointment regarding our potential - and fully expected - move to a new Homing Centre.  First our dream space went up in a puff of smoke (not literally of course), and then the not-quite-as-dreamy alternative also turned out to have an unacceptable clause in the contract, so as of now we have nowhere lined up to move to.  We're having to vacate the Elgin Street Centre as I mentioned, so unless something comes up very soon it's going to be extremely an difficult situation.
