Weds 21st Feb: Puppies on the move, and more new dogs

We've been living in a kind of limbo as far as our Hong Kong Island Centres are concerned, because we've been waiting to hear if the dream space we were after would come to fruition.  Although on the market as a rental property the landlord now prefers to sell, and in true Hong Kong style it's likely the place will sit empty for a long time before a buyer is found.  It got to the point when we knew we had to make a decision, even if letting go of the amazing space was hard to do, and today Iris and I went to view another property which we agreed would be suitable, even if nowhere near as perfect as our initial choice. Now we have to wait again to see if we can agree on terms and a reasonable rent, but if this goes ahead I think there will be a lot of happy staff, volunteers and dogs.

We have some good news about a few of our available puppies, and I don't think I'm jumping ahead of myself by mentioning the names of two of them.  One is the beautiful sweet and gentle Enzo, and the other gorgeous fluffy boy Amos.  Both will be moving this week.

We also have potential adopters for other puppies, but with nothing confirmed as yet I'll wait until we know for sure.

We've been expecting some new dogs to come to Kennedy Town for a while now, and it seems the first group will arrive on Thursday.  Happily we have potential homes lined up for at least two of them, so that's always good to know.

The corgi girl is 4 years old

We'll also be taking a corgi from AFCD on Thursday, with more small dogs coming early next week, including poodles and a very friendly Staffie (Staffordshire bull terrier).
We need a place for the Staffie

As our small Homing Centre isn't really ideal for a bulldog type in terms of size, if anyone is interested in potentially adopting the Staffie, or even fostering, please complete the questionnaire at www.hongkongdogrescue.com/adopt/adoption-questionnaire/.
