Jasper |
I was so happy to get the messages from Kennedy Town about today's adoptions, because there were a couple of very special ones. Of course all adoptions are special, and maybe I should also include the third because Jasper hasn't been the easiest resident at the Homing Centre, although that should change once he's in a home of his own. There wasn't an adoption photo of Jasper taken at the time because he wasn't keen on being picked up, so that will have to wait.
Samantha (l) and Kit going home |
One of the other adoptions was a double, two senior poodles, Kit and Samantha. The reason this adoption was particularly special is because apart from both dogs being older, Samantha is also blind and with a bad heart. It's wonderful that despite these issues, her kind adopters also offered a home for Kit as well.
Carla (l) and Cooper reunited |
The other adoption was a double in a way, because having previously adopted Carla some time ago, her family came back for her brother Cooper. He's a shy boy, but then Carla was the same initially so the adopters are confident they can handle that particular behaviour.
In the end it was a wonderful day, and I hope indicative of how things are going to be in the Year of the Dragon!
