Percy has a forever home now |
We're expecting some new dogs to come to our Kennedy Town Centre this week, with two of them already potentially having homes to go to. There are also the inevitable poodles, although the age and condition are unknown until they actually arrive. Any younger ones will quickly be adopted, I'm sure, but with poodles being so popular anyway even the older ones seem to find homes, unless they're the "Red" variety (potential biters). Percy came as one of the previous intakes, and he went to a foster home for treatment after testing positive for erlichia (a type of tick fever). Today the foster "failed" and Percy will be staying permanently.
Dawn is staying forever too |
Also just in, news of another "Failed Foster" as Dawn's permanent residence is confirmed.
Other than the dogs and puppies, it's already been a funny week with meetings arranged and then postponed, and it's quite challenging to shuffle dates around when also having to manage the daily requirements of the Lamma dogs. I wish I could give some updates on the potential move to a new and much bigger Homing Centre (from Kennedy Town), but as of today we're still waiting. Maybe there'll be some news later this week, but in the meantime it's pretty frustrating not knowing what's happening.
I also hope that I'll be sharing more adoption news after the arranged meetings have taken place, and that's always my favourite subject.
