One of our own Tai Po Homing Centre staff, Rebecca, took home two of the dogs today, as already shared on our HKDR Facebook page. Both dogs are long-termers, so of course it's not only a double adoption for Bruno and Elsa but also doubly lovely that they have finally been chosen.
Other than that we had quite a lot of potential adopters coming to meet the dogs and puppies at both Centres, but since we still don't have small-sized adults or youngsters it's frustrating for both sides. The puppies aren't shown on our website when they're still young like the other dogs are, because they change and grow so quickly that it would be impossible to keep updating their photos, but you can check out a couple of Facebook pages which show our dogs and puppies at the Homing Centres: https://www.facebook.com/HKDR.DOGGIES/
and https://www.facebook.com/HappyWoofHK
There was some sad news about one of our previous Tai Po long-termers who also found his forever home after a very long wait. Batman was chosen by a previous adopter after the death of one of his dogs, and for the relatively short time he was part of the family he had the best life. His own death was very sudden and totally unexpected, and obviously very sad, but nevertheless we're so grateful that Batman experienced what a real home was like. The photo shows Batman going home in April, just six months ago.
