Weds 8th July: Preparing for new arrivals

Enzo went home for real today
I was so happy to hear that Enzo was adopted today after the weekend's let-down, and as usually happens I know that his new home will be perfect for him.

We're getting ready for the arrival of the five new dogs going to Tai Po on Thursday and I'm sure they'll be lovely, so please keep a lookout for their photos and details.

Apart from the four Scotties (Scottish terriers) and senior poodle also coming to the Ap Lei Chau Homing Centre, it also seems that there'll be two more poodles due to arrive by the weekend.  Again please check in here for photos and details as the dogs are sorted and settled in.

All adult dogs are posted on our website www.hongkongdogrescue.com/dogs/ but we don't post details of puppies because they grow and change so fast, and it would be impossible to keep updating the information.

All puppies are currently staying at our Ap Lei Chau Homing Centre, other than new baby Paddle who has moved into the foster home space just vacated by Little Eagle, and you can meet them every day of the week from 10am to 6pm.

Sugar, sweet but shy
As almost always happens there is one left from a litter, and in this case it's Sugar, and shy girl, Theo, the largest of his family, and Dixon, whose sisters left yesterday.
Dixon said goodbye to sisters Dotty and Diana

The newest pair of Jilly and Janie are settling in and getting used to the routine, and as with all of our puppies they very quickly learn where the toilet spot is and use it.    It's our policy at HKDR not to confine any dogs in crates or cages as it's natural behaviour for puppies to use a specific place for their toilet needs, even the very young and tiny babies.  There will be accidents of course, but that's to be expected and isn't a big deal.
