Thurs 16th July: Coming up for the weekend again

As a reminder because it's almost the weekend again, there will be no Whiskers N Paws Puppy Sunday afternoon due to the re-introduced restrictions, but puppies are always available to meet at our Ap Lei Chau Homing Centre.

Both of our Homing Centres are open as usual every day however we do ask that only those with a genuine intention to adopt come to see the available dogs and puppies as we can't accommodate casual visitors and those that only want to have a look.   Before coming please also complete the adoption questionnaire at www.hongkongdogrescue.com/adopt/adoption-questionnaire/ so we can let you know if we have what you're looking for and which Homing Centre is best to visit.

Little Rubble is adopted
Puppy Rubble was the first of the newer puppies to be adopted from our Ap Lei Chau Homing Centre and he left with his new family today.

At the same time the last of the four Scotties also went off to start her new life after her previous situation as a breeder dog.

We do still have some small dogs available that are currently in foster homes including Lizzie, who is adorable and very sweet but she does also have a heart condition that will almost certainly require medication in the future although not at the moment.
Lizzie is such a sweet and young girl

Ticket and Fidget come as a pair and they are also in a foster home while they wait for their forever family.  They're tiny like chihuahuas but full of character and devoted to taking care of each other.

If you're interested in meeting any of these little dogs please email Cindy at foster@hongkongdogrescue.com

As mentioned previously there's a lot of dogs that are losing their homes due to their families leaving Hong Kong and being unable to fly their pets with them.  One of these is a nine year-old chocolate labrador who will need a new home by the end of July.  If you can give Duncan a rest-of-life home please complete the adoption questionnaire as a first step.

Duncan is all up to date on his vaccines and has never had any health issues. He is originally from Wales.

He is extremely friendly and good with all ages. He is a very gentle dog even though he is quite big. We have only heard him bark a handful of times and only when he is excited. He is also sociable with other dogs. We walk him twice a day for about an hour but he can do longer walks if it's not too hot otherwise he struggles.

  1. This photo of Duncan reminded me instantly of Kate, the black Lab I found wondering in the streets near me at 2am in 2011, and thanks to help and advice from Helen, and ofcourse Sally, who was able to find a home for the old girl who was dumped by an unscrupulous breeder! Good luck to Duncan, you'll find a new home soon boy. XXX
