There's lots of high-end wines for just $50

Friday the 13th is traditionally an unlucky date but we made it through without any accidents or disasters, although our driver took the day off so there wasn't much going on anyway.  I spent the afternoon at the Ap Lei Chau Homing Centre unpacking and sorting the boxes of wines that had been donated, and there's a huge choice from around the world if you're a wine drinker.   We're selling at $50 a bottle and $500 for a case of twelve, so you can come to our Ap Lei Chau Homing Centre any day to pick your own.  Ka Yan did a bit of research and found that even the cheapest wines retail in the shops for over $120, and there are many that are much more expensive.  Please remember that every single dollar raised through these sales will go directly towards helping the dogs, so consider every bottle bought as a donation to HKDR and stock up for Christmas.

Box is such a sweet bulldog cross

Bulldog cross Box was watching the unpacking with interest hoping for some attention himself,  which Yannie gave as she was passing.  Box is a lovely dog who is smaller than an average bulldog and has the advantage of having a full nose so no breathing problems. He's affectionate and young at three years, and he loves tummy rubs and ear scratches from anyone willing to give them.

We now have six new dogs or puppies, not sure yet, coming to our Ap Lei Chau Homing Centre on Saturday, and as always we're asking that anyone interested in adoption complete the questionnaire on our website www.hongkongdogrescue.com (under Adopt) as a first step.

We're incredibly lucky to have amazing sponsors and donors for the event, as well as
