Tues 5th Jan: Lucky never-returners

We've been getting such lovely updates about our "Frostie Fosters", with almost all of them doing so well that we can expect that at least a couple of dogs will never be coming back.  Showing left is Winfrey, a very sweet girl who is set to become one of the lucky never-returners if all goes according to plan.

Meanwhile, and not as planned of course, several new dogs arrived at Tai Po to take the place of some of those who had left temporarily, and three of these are featured in the YouTube video shown below.  Google, Giggle and Chuckle had an upgrade from their previous situation living amongst junk in a warehouse yard and trying to find comfort and shelter wherever they could, and it seems they're settling in well and getting used to having soft bedding to sleep on as well as walking out on a leash for the first time in their lives.

Thank you Youtuber Jason and Mai for volunteering at HKDR Tai Po Homing Centre and promoting responsible pet ownership in their vlog! https://www.youtube.com/watch?fbclid=IwAR3XLX6jKry3U5LYwgimQQv8QbGp7ExKEGzFxsalSpcyykNkPbXo1T6shK8&v=kt85lJy6XHs&feature=youtu.be

Over at Ap Lei Chau all of the new dogs were at the vet today, followed by a trip to AFCD for licensing, and while I'm not able to post photos we have two poodles and a poodle cross, plus a terrier-type cross, all resaonably young adults.

We still get a lot of adoption enquiries asking if casual walk-in visits are allowed, and we do ask that everyone completes the adoption questionnaire in advance and then waits for a reply.  Since so many enquiries are for small-breed puppies, which we don't have, or breeds like labrador and golden retriever puppies, which we also don't have, it saves everone's time if we can let people know ahead of any visit.  We can also suggest possible matches and direct potential adopters to either Tai Po or Ap Lei Chau, depending on who and where we think would be most suitable.  So please start the process by filling out this form with as much detail as possible, including a full address and not just an area or street name please: www.hongkongdogrescue.com/adopt/adoption-questionnaire/
