Sat 9th Jan: New names and warm coats

I have to come up with names again, and it gets more difficult all the time as I try to avoid using the same ones again and again.  The first three of the new small dogs went for a check-up at ALCVC (Ap Lei Chau Vet Clinic) as the black poodle had been vomiting, and AFCD records told us the bichon frise was twenty three years old, hardly likely.  We also sent the shih tzu, another senior at thirteen, and like all of the dogs she's not bouncing with health.  Apart from anything else she had a rotten tooth which had caused gum infection and severe halitosis (bad breath).  The other dogs will be going for their health checks on Sunday, and I don't think any of them will get 100% pass.  All I can say is I'm happy that we were able to get them and to have the opportunity to treat the various ailments so they can at least go to new homes with the prospect, hopefully, of a few years of happiness and a good life.

As always, please complete the adoption questionnaire if you're willing to give these little girls and boys a home: www.hongkongdogrescue.com/adopt/adoption-questionnaire/

I'm happy to report that our Tai Po dogs are fully kitted out with coats and warm blankets thanks to kind donations.  The even luckier ones are in foster care until the end of the cold spell at least.   Your support is always very much appreciated, especially by the dogs! Thank you.
