Thurs 7th Jan: Here it comes again

The cold weather is back so once again we're all happy to know that quite a few of our senior Tai Po dogs who would normally be outdoors, with shelter of course, are in their respective foster homes for the duration of the winter blast.  It's one time when I'm very grateful for my Lamma dog Griffin's habit of lying pressed against me in bed, as his body works as a constant source of heat.

All of the six puppies that came from AFCD today went straight to their own foster homes in pairs, and although they're not milk-drinking babies we felt it was better for them to be in temporary homecare for a couple of weeks.  If you're interested in adoption please start by completing the questionnaire at www.hongkongdogrescue.com/adopt/adoption-questionnaire/

We also have other litters of young puppies in foster homes, including mother dog Sarah's six who are now a month older than shown here and getting ready to leave.  Again if interested in adoption please complete the questionnaire and contact Cindy to arrange meetings at foster@hongkongdogrescue.com.

Doglet Eagle was one of the Tai Po dogs who went straight to foster after having been returned for the second time in his short life (not his fault), and his new family love him so much that they decided to adopt him and came to Ap Lei Chau to complete the paperwork.  In the nicest possible way I hope we don't see Eagle again, unless it's just to say hello at some time.

We might, and I have to repeat might, be having some small dogs coming soon, but they're not going to be puppies and we have no idea what they will be or their age and condition.  We should know more by tomorrow so be sure to check in, and we do have some small dogs still waiting at our Ap Lei Chau Homing Centre although again not puppies.
