Mon 7th Aug: Bearing up in the heat

The intense heat at the Tai Po Homing Centre is relentless, and making things doubly hard for the staff, volunteers, renovation workers - and the dogs.  I know my Lamma dogs are choosing to stay inside where it's cool rather than be in the garden, but that's not a luxury the Tai Po residents have.  We still need more volunteers to help with the renovation moving and carrying if you are already registered and available, and strong, so please come along if possible.

Georgia's stay at HKDR was very short
At least one of the dogs escaped the boiling temperature today, and that was the new Doberman girl Georgia, who has gone to live with another ex-HKDR Doberman, Desiree, and a bichon frise.  I loved the photo I received showing the little dog in the big bed, and the big dog in the small one.
Desiree is in the smaller bed

The upcoming workshop in the current series is Aromatics for Dogs, and there are just a few spaces available for this coming Saturday if you are interested, but it's Cantonese only I'm afraid.

The ever-popular Positive Partners training course will be back in September, and early booking is recommended due to the small classes which guarantee every dog gets the full attention of the trainers.
