Thurs 2nd June: Keeping it short today

For various personal reasons this has been a difficult week for me, not helped by the fact that my computer isn't cooperating and I've managed to create even further problems by trying to fix the initial ones. I'm wondering if I'll even be able to post this blog, but in any case it will be a short one.

Thomas and Tanner

There was some really wonderful news from the Kennedy Town Homing Centre, currently very much a puppy kindergarten, when Thomas and Tanner left together for a trial adoption to see how they adapt to their new situation.  We've waited a very long time for these boys to find the right home, because like almost all that came to us at that time (and from the same unknown place) it seems that human contact wasn't a part of their early life.  As a consequence they're very timid, so they really need to be another dog as an emotional support companion, no matter how loving the humans around them are.  Tanner in particular had a lot of interest as he's a beautiful dog, but we couldn't let him go to any home as a singleton, and finally our wait was over.  I don't normally write about trial adoptions because of course they may not work out and the dogs come back, but I really hope that this turns into a forever home very soon.

I'm sure you all know that both of our Homing Centres are open every single day of the year, so that means this Friday (a holiday) too.  We'll also be at Whiskers N Paws on Sunday, 2pm to 4pm, with a lot of puppy hopefuls, so you can come along to enjoy the fun on the terrace, but in every case please be sure to complete the adoption questionnaire before visiting to save time https://hongkongdogrescue.com/.../adoption-questionnaire/
