Weds 18th May: Happy adoption news

There has been a huge amount of interest in poodles and terrier types that recently came to us, so if you have completed the questionnaire and haven't yet received a reply or an invitation to meet the dogs, please wait until you hear back.   The Kennedy Town Homing Centre is quite small and we can't handle everyone turning up at the same time asking for the same dogs, so please be patient.

At least the Homing Centre is a bit easier to find now that we have the lightbox outside, which is visible from both ends of Sai Hong Lane.

The best news is always hearing about adoptions of the larger adult mixed breeds from Tai Po, or any of the mixed breeds, whatever age they are.  There has been so much attention given to the "rooftop" dogs that it's easy to momentarily forget that there are hundreds of others waiting for homes, so here's some happy updates....

Fabian (right) with Pebble

Beautiful Fabian is no longer on the waiting list as he was chosen to go home with another ex-HKDR dog, Pebble.

Super-sweet Mandy is also on a trial adoption to see how she gets along with the resident dog, a shiba inu, and as the potential adopter said, Mandy is so easy it's all going well so far.

Marina's flight to Canada has now been confirmed for later this month, so she will soon be on her way to a new home and country.

Nola is adopted by her foster family!

As an even happier surprise, foster dog Nola will also be leaving Hong Kong with her now-forever family after no offers of a new home were made.  This really made me happy, as Nola had been left behind when her previous family left Hong Kong without her.

The four new recruits

The four new puppies arrived at our Kennedy Town Homing Centre, apparently not all related.  They will be having their vet check first vaccination this week, and in the meantime they can enjoy their new "home".
