Sun 13th Feb: Another new name needed

We didn't have a photographer at Whiskers N Paws today even though we held a scaled-down puppy party on the terrace, so I'm going to share last Sunday's photos again  Puppy Adoption Day 06th Feb 2022.  They're still valid even if the puppies are a week older, and if you want to arrange an appointment with Cindy to meet them in their foster homes please email her at foster@hongkongdogrescue.com.  Not all of the foster puppies are shown, and we still have gorgeous Puddle, also known as Loki, waiting for his forever family (https://www.facebook.com/hkdogrescue/videos/2357044747772042), as well as Edward, the last of the three "E" boys available.  You can follow Instagram@why_i_foster and @typhoon_k_puppies for photos of others in their foster homes.

The five new puppies

As Turpin, the last of the "T" litter, was adopted from his foster home today, five new puppies arrived and left almost immediately to go to their respective temporary homes.  They're now the "R" puppies, three girls and two boys.

Pippa was adopted today

Pippa was the lucky Ap Lei Chau Homing Centre dog today, an adorable little girl with the most appealing face anyone would find hard to resist.  The number of small dogs left at the Homing Centre is steadily dropping, which is helpful for the upcoming move to Kennedy Town although frustrating in the sense that we always have so many enquiries for small dogs.  Many of those still available need to go to experienced adopters, such as cocker spaniel Phaedra and Goji, the shiba inu, and we may have to consider other options such as Lamma for some of the dogs that are waiting.

I mentioned another new space a while ago and it hasn't been forgotten, it's just taken a while to sort out the legalities.  So I'm very happy to let you know that we will officially take over the shop in Elgin Street, Soho, on Monday 14th, which is also Valentine's Day of course, and we plan to use this mainly as a training centre.  There will be classes and individual sessions, as well as puppy socialisation groups, so please watch out for the details once we've got everything in place.  We're also trying to decide on a name, which is another challenge (like the puppy names I have to come up with).
