Mon 14th Feb: Maisie finds her Valentine

Maisie is already much loved by her family

There was wonderful news from Tai Po as Maisie's adoption was confirmed after a short trial to test for any allergies.  Maisie has been with us since she was a young puppy, and had to make the move from Ap Lei Chau to the big Homing Centre when she grew too big to be in the small space.  It's always a sad moment when we say goodbye to the older puppies, but they stand a much better chance of being adopted at Tai Po, not to mention that they make lots of new friends while they're staying there.

Ruby was also picked up from Ap Lei Chau after her adoption had been confirmed following a couple of meetings, and I know she's going to have a wonderful life in her hew home.

I wrote about Hinoki a week ago

I'd recently written about a young poodle looking for a new home (on the 7th February to be exact), but there were no offers as a result of that post.  However when Hinoki's photo and details were shared on our Facebook and Instagram pages, the questionnaires came flooding in, many of them very suitable, many of them not.   Hinoki has an adoption interview lined up, and with more potential homes as back-up if needed, we're not acepting further applications for him.

For anyone who had applied to adopt Hinoki, along with his guarding behaviour, we have many other poodles available with similar issues.  They're the "Red" dogs in case you would consider one of them.

As you can imagine we're all very busy at the moment with the impending move from Ap Lei Chau to Kennedy Town, as well as arranging the new space at Elgin Street in Soho.  There's so much to do, made worse by the fact that the Kennedy Town Homing Centre won't be fully ready for occupation by the time we have to leave Ap Lei Chau so we're going to be camping in makeshift office space, and temporarily placing the dogs wherever we can.   This may be a good opportunity for some of our small and medium-sized dogs to find homes, just in case you're able to take in one or two .......
