Fri 4th Feb: Meeting puppies

Two "T" pups currently in foster care

Just as a reminder for those who are looking for puppies to adopt, we have many staying in foster homes and meetings can be arranged by contacting Cindy at foster@hongkongdogrescue.com, or by completing the adoption questionnaire so we can suggest particular puppies that might be most suitable.  You can see the adorable video of two pups-in-foster here: https://www.facebook.com/hkdogrescue/videos/pcb.5196714337007923/383720053560661
This litter arrived on the last day of 2021

Please note that we don't have purebreed puppies as a rule, and if any do come in (such as the recent French bulldog baby), we will choose the best home that's on our waiting list.  We never know when these particular puppies will turn up because we're not breeders and we have no connection to anyone in the pet trade, so potential adopters who ask for specific breeds will almost certainly be disappointed.  The adoption questionnaire is at www.hongkongdogrescue.com/adopt/adoption-questionnaire/

We do also have puppies staying at our Ap Lei Chau Homing Centre, although we try to keep the number to a minimum, and both of our Homing Centres are open every single day of the year from 10am to 6pm, but again please complete the questionnaire before coming to meet any of the dogs or puppies.

Look at that face!

Yesterday I mentioned the confusion about dogs at Tai Po and their name changes, and one adoption that was confirmed today turned out to be from the same litter as two other just-adopted  "M" dogs.  Today's lucky girl was Polly, who was Molly at Ap Lei Chau, so you can see how I lose track of who's who. Melanie used to be Melody, and I think only Marina retained her early given name.  Anyway Polly has been doing very well in her new home, even if she has that funny "Oh my god!" expression on her face in the adoption photo.

Apart from the two Homing Centres where you can meet dogs and puppies on any day of the week, Sunday afternoon is when the foster puppies come together at Whiskers N Paws, 10/F Horizon Plaza, from 2pm to 4pm.  If you're planning on coming to meet the puppies, please try to be there as early as possible so you have plenty of time to interact with the puppies, and again start by completing the adoption questionnaire so we know ahead of time what you're looking for.
