There was a whole lot going on today, including the outdoor buffet lunch at the Farmhouse Terrace, Hyatt Centric at Victoria Harbour. It seems so long since we've had our regular fundraising events and we sold out of tickets almost as soon as they were available, so we're hoping to be able to host a second round for those who were disappointed.
The second batch of the new puppy arrivals went to ALCVC first thing so they were ready to meet potential adopters, and Tizzy was the first to be chosen. Some families couldn't make up their minds and went home for a discussion, so we anticipate seeing more of these little ones leaving on Sunday.
One of the new small adults |
While all of this was going on we were arranging to pick up yet another group of dogs from Sai Kung, and nobody knew what they would be or where they had come from. We were actually expecting them to be little ex-breeder dogs but they all mixed breed, small to medium sized, and a complete mish-mash of looks. They'll also be going to ALCVC on Sunday to be checked over and have their ages assessed, but we know there are plenty of families looking for this kind of dog, young and not large. You can meet them at our Ap Lei Chau Homing Centre, open every single day from 10am to 6pm.
Sunday is also Whiskers N Paws day, and there will be a lot of puppies there for adopters to meet, although not the new very small ones. Now that we know the "P Litter" are old enough (they're so little we thought they were younger) they will also be there, at least some of them.

We get so many people asking about coming to visit the dogs and I have to ask again that the questionnaire is completed first. It's at www.hongkongdogrescue.com/adopt/adoption-questionnaire/
Baguette and Warren went home together |
There were thirty six adoptions during April, and here are the lucky dogs and puppies who went home:
