Thurs 12th Nov: Meet our younger Tai Po residents

We're building up a small collection of older puppies at our Tai Po Homing Centre now, with the arrival today of mother-and-daughter pair Raisin and Radish.  Radish is the daughter, probably six months or so and incredibly sweet, just like her mother.  They came from AFCD so we don't know their story, just that they are really so lovely, and I was lucky enough to meet them when they went to Acorn for a helth check and vaccination as I was picking up one of my Lamma dogs at the same time (unfortunately Minky has a ruptured cruciate ligament which needs surgery).

The mother, Raisin, is also young and quite small at only  17 kilos, so I think we can safely say Radish will be medium sized as an adult too.  If you're interested in adopting either of these special dogs please complete the adoption questionnaire at www.hongkongdogrescue.com/adopt/adoption-questionnaire/ as a first step.

William recently moved from Ap Lei Chau to Tai Po Homing Centre where he has already won over the hearts of staff and volunteers 😍 He went on his first hike and proved what a good boy he is! He walks so nicely on leash and even knows to adjust to your pace when running. William has a lot of energy for playing and exploring, but he also loves to take breaks. Every time we stopped he would lie down in the grass 😂
William is such a unique character. He's fairly small sized, is great with people, and loves belly rubs. He's only 6 months old, making him one of the youngest puppies at
Hong Kong Dog Rescue (HKDR)
Tai Po Homing Centre right now! We hope he won't be there for much longer 😉 Who will be the lucky one to bring him home?

Xylo is another youngster staying at Tai Po and I previously shared the video of him playing so happily with labrador-cross Meg, one of our gorgeous adult dogs: https://www.facebook.com/hkdogrescue/videos/1235866806783797 (the photo shows him as a new arrival at our Ap Lei Chau Homing Centre).

I start to get excited when the weekend's coming up and I know we have potential adopters coming to meet the dogs and puppies.  Finding homes is what it's all about, and knowing that a life has not only been saved, but has been changed for ever.  Thank you to everyone who is a part of this, and who opens their heart and home to a rescued dog.
