Poodle Ruby is now formally adopted |

I say it all the time but few listen, while baby pups are undeniably really cute they are also a lot of work and you're starting from scratch when it comes to training. Why not choose a puppy that's just a few weeks older and is already at least halfway there as far as being toilet trained and vaccinated is concerned. The age difference is minimal when it comes to a dog's whole life and you don't have to worry about all of the difficult baby stuff.
Adele is just a few weeks older but already so far ahead |
Cactus is kept very busy replying to emails asking for help with all of the things that are perfectly normal and natural for a very young puppy, such as biting and pooping and whatnot. Human babies aren't born being able to use a toilet and they also like to put everything in their mouths however dirty it is, and that's because they don't know any different. As much as human babies need to be taught, so do puppies. The big difference is that puppies are always eager to please, quick to learn and they also grow up at the speed of light, so those early days are quickly forgotten.
In fact as new puppies arrive those that are already with us get pushed up (or is it down?) the ladder, and on Thursday when the latest batch of babies arrive from AFCD the puppies you see here from Sunday Puppy Adoption Day 8 December 2019
will already be on the next rung. If in doubt about who would be the best puppy for you in terms of age and temperament please just ask, it's what we're here for.
We also have a very special Holiday Offer for those who want to adopt a puppy but will be going away for Christmas and/or New Year. If you choose your puppy now, complete all of the paperwork and pay the adoption fee (of $1000), we will look after the puppy until you get back. Not only that but we will also throw in a special gift of a toy of your choice! This is obviously within a reasonable time frame and only applies to the holiday period, but we have so many nice families coming to visit with the intention of adopting when they get back from their seasonal break. If this applies to you, please come any time to meet the puppies at our Ap Lei Chau Homing Centre, or Sundays at Whiskers N Paws.
