Sun 15th Dec: End of the Seasons

Winter is adopted
If you'd been following the story of the Seasons Litter and were thinking about adopting one of them, you'd be too late as the last two, June and Winter, were adopted today at Whiskers N Paws.  I'd recommended June to another family the other day and she was rejected for not being a purebreed, because they wanted a dog that was guaranteed to be safe with children.  Of all the puppies that adore children, even high-pitched screaming ones as demonstrated today, it's June. As I told the not-to-be adopter, it didn't matter that she wasn't interested in June because I was confident she'd easily find a home, but that her first choice of dachshund was not a breed recommended to be with young children.  I was right about June easily finding a home and I'm right about dachshunds too (just Google the breed), but the idea that mixed or cross breeds are somehow not to be trusted upsets me. It's just not true.
June is the sweetest character
Happy little Paula

Also going home today were Paula, a gorgeous and happy brindle puppy, and also Pearl, whose adopters took advantage of our holiday offer of adopt now, pick up later.

Simon Chan was today's volunteer photographer and you can see all of the gorgeous puppies available here  Puppy Adoption Day 15 December 2019 .  Puppies Echo and Lula were also taken for trials to see how they get on, and I'm pretty sure they won't be coming back.
Pearl will be staying with us until after the holidays

There was a happy surprise double adoption at our Ap Lei Chau Homing Centre when Twiglet and Bongo went home together, and I wasn't sure at first if Iris was joking when she told me who the adopter was.  Apparently it's true but I haven't seen a photo yet, so here's a reminder of why we wanted the two friends to stay together.

It was also quite a good day at Tai Po as two dogs were taken home, but as the adoptions haven't been finalised I'm going to save the names until the ink is dry on the adoption forms.
Twiglet and Bongo became firm friends at the Homing Centre
