Weds 8th May: You are never alone with an HKDR dog

As hard as it is to imagine a sunny day at the moment we are in May so it's quite possible, and even likely, that we will soon be sweating again and wishing it wasn't quite so hot.  Bearing that in mind we're getting ready for our Summer Funday at The Pulse in Repulse Bay on Saturday 25th.  Entry is free and dogs are more than welcome, so be sure to mark the date down and get ready to have a great family day out.  There's something for everyone, food, drink and lots of fun guaranteed.

Otto looking much happier than his first photo

If you are an early reader of my blog you might have missed the updated photo of new boy Otto I switched to from the first rather sad-looking one posted.   Like all puppies Otto just needed some friends to bighten his spirits, especially after being alone and scared at AFCD.  Now there's a great gang of five-to-six month-olds at the Tai Po Homing Centre, and of course they're all instants best buddies.   Take a look at this video of Kibble and Scout saying hi to Otto and making him welcome https://www.facebook.com/hkdogrescue/videos/pcb.2500196009993116/2321899914541772/?type=3&theater

If you're interested in meeting or adopting any of our dogs and puppies, please start the process by completing the Adoption Questionnaire on our website www.hongkongdogrescue.com (under Adopt) so we can suggest the most suitable candidates for you and your home.   Once you have met the dogs and hopefully chosen the one you want to adopt, remember that at HKDR the story doesn't end there as there is full follow-up support provided by our very capable and experienced trainer Cactus, and it's all free.  Even first-time dog owners don't need to worry about being left alone and not knowing what to do, so you can go ahead and adopt with confidence.  We like to be sure that both sides are happy and that's very important to us, which is why we say "You are never alone with an HKDR dog". .
