Sun 19th May: Let's talk about Dudley

Trainer Alice Lau took this great photo of Dudley cooling his toes
Little Dudley has always been comically cute, from the first time he made his appearance at Whiskers N Paws as a tiny round-bellied singleton, to today when he is still a small size and always the clown. He has a lookalike friend in Jenny and the two of them are always together, but it's Dudley who makes everyone laugh. The only question is, why hasn't he been adopted yet?  Who wouldn't want this happy little boy in their family.  The sad answer is so far nobody, but I will keep on plugging away until someone reading my blog asks about him.
Dudley (l) and Jenny, always together

Dudley's not the only amazing puppy though, and you can see them all here Puppy Adoption Day 19 May 2019 — at Whiskers n' Paws with special thanks to Yvonne Chan who stepped up at the very last minute when our scheduled volunteer photographer had to cancel.  Thanks Yvonne!
Got any treats hiding in there?

Luca made and sold lemonade to raise money

Although there were no confirmed adoptions at Whiskers N Paws we're expecting to have a couple of success stories during the week as a result of Sunday's meetings, and as compensation there were two donations during the afternoon.  One was from Luca who had collected money selling lemonade, which he said he had made himself too, and the other was a bag of assorted dogs chews bought with money raised by a group of student friends (and please let me know your names if you read this).
Marvel is back on Lamma and living by the sea

Malinois puppy Marvel went home from Ap Lei Chau after having been sent from Tai Po, and he's back on Lamma and living near the sea again although not close to where I am.
Noddy and Big Ears

There has been a lot of interest in Noddy and Big Ears, the two "German shepherd" puppies, but it's clear that their life up until now hasn't been good and Noddy in particular is very thin.  They will go to the vet on Monday for a proper check-up, but we would like to find a foster home for them until they can be adopted if anyone can help.  Please email Cindy at foster@hongkongdogrescue.com if that's you.

Summer Funday at the Pulse is taking place this coming Saturday, so be sure to come along any time between 2pm and 7pm and stay as long as you want.  Entry is free and there's lots of things to do with your dog(s), as well as meeting some of our puppies waiting for adoption.
