Fri 3rd May: Six new arrivals at Tai Po

Ivory and Tusk now have two puppy relatives joining them at Tai Po
As promised, I was at AFCD Pokfulam in the afternoon to pick up the five Stanley Barracks puppies, all of whom are absolute sweethearts at five months of age.  Two are from the same family as Ivory and Tusk, and both are such happy and affectionate boys.  The other three definitely have German shepherd in them with one being long-haired, and again they are very sweet and sightly less boisterous than the other two.  Either way they are all gorgeous, and will grow to be large-sized adults.  Go and meet them at our Tai Po Homing Centre and you'll see what I mean.

The "beagle cross" (cough) that came from Sheung Shui AFCD, along with a poodle, is only six months old and also a large-sized puppy, so rather than keeping him at our Ap Lei Chau Homing Centre he was sent to Tai Po along with the other five Stanley Barracks group.  This boy is also a lovely and very sweet-natured puppy, although he probably has tick fever so we're started treatment for that.

Tai Po doglets waiting for homes
These newcomers are now competition for our already-resident Tai Po puppies who came to us as babies and were moved up to the big Homing Centre when we needed more space at Ap Lei Chau.  I always feel bad for those youngsters who weren't chosen during their "golden age" when they were cute babies, and I can only hope their luck will change very soon.

There's so much choice if you're looking for a puppy, or an adult of any size, so please come and meet them all.  Younger puppies aren't on the website yet because they grow and change so quickly but there are plenty available, and the younger ones are staying at our Ap Lei Chau Homing Centre and can be met any day of the week.  Some lucky pups get to stay in foster homes and they all congregate at Whiskers N Paws on Sunday afternoons.

Twice a month we're also at Concordia Pet Care with a large selection of puppies, and Saturday is one of those days.  Come along to Happy Valley to say hello and meet the hopefuls.  They're all avalaible for fostering too if you're not sure you can commit to permanent adoption.
See you on Saturday!

I'm really surprised that the three beautiful chocolate labradors we have at Tai Po haven't been adopted, even if they are that little bit older.  This is such a popular breed and at this age they're perfect dogs for busy families with children.  All they want is a soft bed and a comfortable life with lot of love and probably a good supply yummy food.

#hkdrPecan and his two Labrador family members (#hkdrToffee#hkdrPolo) share the same cuteness (with almost the same faces). They are extremely easy and good with all dogs and humans. Given their age, they will only need low-intensity exercise. Please take them home and give them love!
